Supply chain start-up in the spotlight: Everoad

Everoad

Everoad wants to revolutionize the road freight industry by utilizing technology and digitalization to connect shippers with carriers, and has been likened to the ‘Uber’ of European trucking. The online platform facilitates the booking process, with a pricing algorithm ensuring shippers pay a fair price, without intermediaries, and take advantage of market opportunities.

The dashboard enables users to manage their shipments including transport documents and invoices online, and provides real-time tracking of deliveries from start to finish. The platform provides access to around 2,500 carriers and approximately 130,000 trucks, and Everoad verifies the compliance of all its carriers. The start-up’s customers range from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to large firms.

Convargo

Since being founded in Paris in 2016, initially under the company name ‘Convargo’, Everoad has grown to a workforce of around 60 people with an average age of 28. The company has so far secured total funding to the tune of €17.5 million, raised from investors such as Xavier Niel (Free and Kima Ventures), Jacques-Antoine Granjon (Private Sales) and prestigious European funds (Inventure Partners and Earybird).

Influential personalities in the transport world are also supporting Everoad, such as Roger Crook (former CEO of DHL Global Freight Forwarding). Maxime Legardez (photo) is Everoad’s founder and CEO, and Benjamin Chino is Head of Product.
