Recording webinar Supply Chain Risk & Resilience

Recording

Supply Chain Media organized a webinar about Supply Chain Risk & Resilience.

Despite the knowledge of the importance of risk management for supply chains, the reality often looks different. As previous studies on supply chain risk management (SCRM) show, such a function is often only rudimentarily implemented and is frequently only sporadically operated.

This discrepancy between target and actual was the impetus for us to take a closer look at the topic of SCRM as part of the BME Logistics Survey 2020. In doing so, we want to fulfil two objectives with the results that emerge from the survey. On the one hand, we would like to elicit the status quo of SCRM in industry, trade and services, with a focus on the degree of maturity. The question was: What is the status and maturity level of SCRM in the companies and what strengths, weaknesses and potential for improvement are evident? In doing so, we also address the main processes in supply chain management according to the SCOR model. On the other hand, we would like to derive recommendations for action that support companies in increasing the maturity of their risk management for supply chains.

This recording gives an overview of the current situation in supply chain risk management (SCRM). It shows to what extend companies have established SCRM and what supply chain processes are taken into account. It also addresses the maturity of SCRM in different categories. These results provide actions for participants to set-up, run, and improve their own effective SCRM.
