Supply chain start-up in the spotlight: Ovrsea

Ovrsea

Ovrsea was founded in Paris, France, in 2017 by Mathieu Mattei and Antoine Sauvage in response to the lack of transparency and efficiency in international transport processes. The start-up is a digital freight forwarder that uses the latest technology to create simplicity and reliability and reduce the risks.

Ovrsea supports five modes of transport (including air, sea and road) and already covers 60 countries right around the world. Clients can handle every type of shipment in just a few clicks. The online dashboard includes functionalities for quotations, online booking, real-time tracking and analytics. Hence, customers gain greater visibility and control over their supply chain which leads to lower transportation costs.

Transport of more than €100 million worth of goods

Ovrsea raised €1.9 million after just one year with Business Angels and BPI. The company currently employs 15 people and has secured a number of high-profile mid-sized customers including Baobab Collection, Engie, Laboratoires Filorga and Made.com. So far, Ovrsea has transported more than €100 million worth of goods, primarily for customers in the cosmetics, high-tech, wine and furniture sectors. The company was listed as one of the Top 30 Start-ups of the Year by Station F in 2019.
