Supply Chain Media Launches Ranking of Denmark’s Top 25 Supply Chain Executives

Top 25 Supply Chain Executives Denmark
Supply Chain Media is entering a new country after Germany: Denmark. In reflection of the growing recognition of supply chain management’s strategic importance in the corporate environment, Supply Chain Media went in search of a figurehead for the discipline in Denmark. At the 6th Supply Chain Leaders Forum in Frederiksberg, Susanne Hundsbæk-Pedersen was announced as the country’s number 1 supply chain executive.

The Copenhagen Business School (CBS) has developed many business leaders in Denmark over the past 100 years. This year, CBS’s annual Supply Chain Leaders Forum (SCLF) decided to celebrate the fostering of supply chain leaders by founding a new award: Best Supply Chain Executive 2017. In this context, the organizers asked Supply Chain Media to prepare a ranking of the top 25 supply chain executives in Denmark. “Together with the executive supply-chain recruitment agency Inspired-Search, we have been developing and publishing a ‘Top 28 for Europe’ in a similar way since 2015.” Says Martijn Lofvers, CEO and founder of Supply Chain Media. “The following four factors were taken into consideration when preparing the ranking: Who has achieved the most success for their company?; Who has the biggest scope of responsibility?; Who is most visible?; and, last but not least, Who received the most votes from their peers?”

Susanne Hundsbæk-Pedersen
As a result of the thorough methodology, Susanne Hundsbæk-Pedersen, Senior Vice President of Devices & Supply Chain Management at Novo Nordisk, emerged as the winner of this first edition of the ranking of Denmark’s supply chain leaders. Hundsbæk-Pedersen has been working for Novo Nordisk since 2002. She is particularly focused on the implementation of new developments and, under her leadership, Novo Nordisk’s adjusted operating profit increased by 6% from 2015 to 2016.
As Denmark’s number one supply chain executive and SCM figurehead for 2017, Hundsbæk-Pedersen was presented with a unique artwork by Åse Højer and also won free advice on a supply chain project by consultancy firm Synchronic.
