The CV of Israeli professor David Simchi-Levi is impressive, to say the least. His research is focussed on the development and implementation of robust and efficient techniques for logistics and manufacturing systems. His articles on the practical and theoretical aspects of supply chain management have appeared in scientific journals around the world and he is the author of a number of books, including ‘The logic of logistics’, published by Springer. He carried out no less than three studies last year into European supply chains, high-performance supply chains, and forecasting demand without Point-of-Sale data, financed by TruEconomy, Accenture and SAP respectively. He is currently involved in researching attitudes towards supply chain management in the boardroom.
