Supply chain start-up in the spotlight: Lox

Lox

According to Lox, 1.3 million parcels are incorrectly invoiced every day in Europe alone due to carrier invoicing being such a complex and still largely manual process. That was the reason for Dylan Hirsch, Melvil Donnart and Anna Rouleau to launch their start-up, which is part of the Kedge Business School Incubator, in April 2020.

The mission of the Rotterdam-based company is to support the digital transformation of retail and e-commerce companies with last-mile deliveries by helping them to avoid overpaying their carriers.

Lox’s SaaS technology extracts the invoices directly from the carrier platform and the AI-based algorithm then pinpoints any issues based on more than 50 data points. This enables verification of whether retailers are paying the right amount to their carriers in view of lost, late or damaged goods or even just incorrect pricing. Lox then takes care of the refund process for each single shipment to ensure that the retailers receive their money back. This can result in savings of up to 10%, according to the start-up.
