Your job as an Associate Director European Distribution

As Associate Director European Distribution you co-develop, document and implement the supply chain strategy in relation to the transport and distribution process of the European products. You promote distribution services to the affiliates and guard the quality of the distributed products in order to optimize the distribution process of Astellas and deliver the products to the affiliates and customers.

Besides this you develop the distribution proposition of the department and promote and present the proposition to the affiliate, influencing and convincing the affiliate management and agree upon the distribution. Next to this you have experience in tendering, including setting up requirements and selection and negotiation with third parties. You are also responsible to identify areas of improvement for affiliates, define and implement those changes and improvements in the distribution process.

Furthermore you act as regional logistics expert and you can define, document, implement, investigate and act upon cases in relation to insurance and claims. Next to this you support colleagues with operations (customs, import/export, VAT etc.) and make sure these items are compliant for all physical and trading flows of goods into and from the European community.

Your personal qualifications as an Associate Director European Distribution

  • University degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or related field
  • 4-8 years of logistics management experience
  • Knowledge of current best practices in warehousing and transport for pharmaceutical distribution in Europe and worldwide

As Associate Director European Distribution you demonstrate the ability to transform current business models to a cohesive, transparent and cost effective distribution network. Furthermore you have experience with sub-contracting logistic services and vendor performance management. You are also familiar with project portfolio management. As an Associate Director European Distribution you manage priorities and deal with conflicting demands in a global organization. You have excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask and to work to tight deadlines. Besides that you have a high degree of attention to detail and able to follow many prescribed processes. Next to this you can work on different levels and you can build great relationships with people from other cultures.
