Iiyama outsources European logistics to Geodis

Iiyama

Iiyama has entered in a long-term strategic partnership with logistics service provider Geodis, who will provide the Japanese manufacturer of computer monitors with an end-to-end solution in the Netherlands.

From now on, Geodis is taking care of Iiyama’s customs activities, the transport of products from Rotterdam to Venlo, warehousing and the processing of sales orders on the Geodis campus in Venlo as well as outbound transport to end customers.

Increasing logistics complexity

“We’re growing extremely rapidly,” comments Jeffry Pettinga, Sales Director for Europe at Iiyama. “Besides that, we’re seeing a market need for ever-bigger desktop monitors and displays for interactive signage, which is increasing the complexity of the logistics. That’s why, with a view to the future, we set out to find a logistics partner who could support our growth.”

Centralized overview of all services

According to Iiyama, the deciding factors in its choice for Geodis were the logistics service provider’s knowledge and experience in the consumer electronics and high-tech industries in combination with the flexibility of the warehousing facility in Venlo. The new integration enables Iiyama to monitor and manage all services from a centralized location.
