Famar integrates pharma specific constraints in supply chain
Famar, a provider of contract manufacturing and development services to the pharmaceutical and health & beauty industry, has implemented the planning and scheduling functions of OMP Plus in four sites across Europe. In addition, feedback from the factory floor is incorporated into the solution to update the schedule. “A key element in choosing OMP Plus was the capability to integrate pharmaceutical specific constraints in our integrated supply chain. Benefits are starting to show quite clearly, both quantitatively and qualitatively”, said Gilbert Pineau, Senior Director Supply Chain at Famar, in a press release of 3 April 2014.
For the implementation, the OMP Plus application is integrated with both with BPCS (Infor) and SAP. Four sites are in scope of the OMP Plus visibility application, three in France and one in the Netherlands. The rollout to another four sites is starting later this year. Implementing the Forecasting and S&OP functions of OMP Plus is also being planned.
