Biography David Gonzalez – Research Director, Gartner Supply Chain
David Gonzalez is a Research Director working in the Supply Chain Core team. Based in the EMEA region, he has more than 20 years of experience working with international supply chains and global logistics networks. Over that period, he has worked in the service, manufacturing and retail sectors, with organizations ranging from a leading global logistics service provider and a chemical and engineering manufacturer, to a number of leading High Street retailers.
Background
In previous roles, Mr. Gonzalez managed the global logistics function for the delivery of physical reward marketing programs to Tesco in the U.K. and Ireland. He also oversaw similar global logistics functions in the Tesco CE territories of Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic. At the Linde Group, Mr. Gonzalez headed up the Global Logistics function for the Electronic Gases division. This included creating, implementing and managing a center of excellence function for logistics, as well as engaging in the regional execution of logistics policies. He also took on responsibility for global trade compliance and led the establishment of a center-led compliance and governance model. Mr. Gonzalez’s consulting experience resulted in the successful delivery of high-profile logistics transformation projects for leading U.K. High Street retailers, such as Marks & Spencer, Burberry, New Look, and Fat Face. He was also engaged in the solution design and implementation of new and innovative logistics operating models for Intel and TSMC.
