EXCHAiNGE The Supply Chainers’ Convention
Date: 18-19 June 2013
Location: Hilton Frankfurt Airport (Germany)
Organisation: PwC & Logistik Heute
Risks in the supply chain: that is one of the main themes of the new international business conference EXCHAiNGE to be held June 18 and 19 in the Hilton Frankfurt Airport and the HOLM Forum at Frankfurt Airport. The conference includes the exclusive presentation of a new risk management study. Conference attendees also have the opportunity to test their driving skills (and risk tolerance) in a Formula 1 driving simulator. As part of the EXCHAiNGE conference on June 19, 9:00 to 10:30 a.m., Professor David Simchi-Levi will unveil the findings of a study conducted by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and PwC, complete with best practice examples from over 200 manufacturers around the world. The study examined strategies that businesses use to address risks in the supply chain and identified the approaches and skills they need to make their supply chains less prone to disruption. What adjustments are needed to make the core of your added value more resistant and less vulnerable? Which skills do you need to reduce risks? Which levels of flexibility are ideal? The study lends new ideas and offers perspectives on these questions.
