50^th anniversary symposium – 60 years BME

This year we are celebrating two important anniversaries: for 50 years the symposium has been THE meeting place for buyers, logistics experts and Supply Chain Managers for exchanging information about current trends in their fields and networking with colleagues.

Year after year leading experts from business and politics discuss the latest trends, successful strategies, and topical issues and best practices across a variety of sectors.

Previous years have seen former German Chancellor Helmut Schmidt and former Minister Hans-Dietrich Genscher, extraordinary post-war politicians who played a significant role in Germany‘s economic success, give moving talks at the event.

The second anniversary is that of the BME – Bundesverband Materialwirtschaft, Einkauf und Logistik e.V. (German Association Materials Management, Purchasing and Logistics).

For 60 years it has been promoting dialogue in its capacity as a network designer. The 9,300 companies and individual members represented in the BME are responsible for an annual purchasing volume of 1.25 trillion Euros. The association is open to all industries and types of company.
