Audit at Apple uncovers violations in the supply chain

Apple carried out audits at 102 of its suppliers’ production facilities in 2009 and identified 17 serious violations. In almost 50 per cent of cases at 60 locations, employees were found to be working too many hours and other suppliers were found to be carrying out pregnancy tests.
